STEM Racing™ India car
T1.1
Also 'the car' — designed/manufactured per the Technical Regulations, powered by a single 8-gram cartridge, built to travel the 20m race and withstand deceleration after the finish line.
Fully assembled car
T1.2
A car, without a power unit cartridge inserted, resting on all 4 wheels, free of any external force other than gravity.
Body
T1.3
A single uninterrupted piece of Model Block material existing rear of Reference Plane A, encompassing the virtual cargo and cartridge chamber.
Power unit cartridge chamber
T1.4
A cylindrical clear space bounded by car body only, where the power unit cartridge is placed for racing.
Wing
T1.5
An aerodynamic feature permitting airflow around its chord, with a leading and trailing edge across its span.
Wing support structure / end plate
T1.6
Front: joins wing(s) to the nose cone, forward of Reference Plane A. Rear: joins wing to car body, rearward of Reference Plane B. End plate: structure outside the minimum wing span.
Nose cone
T1.7
A component used as a wing support structure that only exists forward of Reference Plane A.
Wheel
T1.8
A single part or assembly, cylindrical in form, whose maximum circumference contacts the track to allow forward motion via rotation.
Wheel support system

Part(s) connecting a wheel to the rest of the car, contained within the theoretical cylinder defined by the wheel diameter across each axle.
Tether line guide

A safety component that fully surrounds the track tether line, connecting the car to the line during races.
Surface finish & decals

Hand finishing
